Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DirectApply — the website, web application, and mobile applications (together, the "Service") — operated by Aozora Media LTD, a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office in London, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "Aozora Media"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What DirectApply is

DirectApply helps you discover job openings collected from publicly available company career pages and applicant-tracking systems, tailor your resume and application materials using AI tools, and track your applications. DirectApply is a discovery and preparation tool: we are not a recruiter, employment agency, or agent of any employer, and we do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, still open, or will result in an interview or employment.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your profile and resumes, and for keeping your login credentials secure.
• One account per person. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.

3. Free and Premium plans

Browsing your personalized feed, search, and filters are free. Premium features — including official employer application links, AI resume rebuilding, cover letters, and Apply Assistant — require a paid subscription, billed weekly, monthly, or annually as selected at checkout. Prices are shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from your account settings and retain access until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.

4. AI-generated content

• Our AI tools rewrite and reorganize the experience and information you provide. They are designed not to invent employers, qualifications, skills, or achievements.
• You must review all generated documents before using them. You are solely responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of every application you submit.
• AI output may contain errors. Do not rely on it without review.

5. Applications are submitted by you

DirectApply prepares application materials; it does not submit applications on your behalf. Application buttons open the employer's own website or applicant-tracking system, which is governed by that employer's terms and privacy policy, not ours.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service to misrepresent your identity or qualifications; scrape, resell, or redistribute job listings or any part of the Service; reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service; use the Service to send spam or bulk unsolicited applications; or use it in violation of any applicable law.

7. Your content and our licence

You retain all rights to the resumes, documents, and information you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store and process them solely to provide the Service to you (for example, to generate a tailored resume). We do not sell your documents or use them to train models for other users without your consent — see our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to Aozora Media LTD or its licensors. Company names and trademarks appearing in job listings belong to their respective owners; their appearance identifies the source of a job listing and does not imply any endorsement of DirectApply.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and job data fresh, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that any particular listing, employer, or feature will remain available. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where changes materially reduce what you have paid for.

10. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Subject to that: we are not liable for employment decisions made by employers, for the content of third-party websites, or for losses that were not foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms. Our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms; where reasonable, we will warn you first. If we terminate your paid account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of your subscription.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
